FUNDED RESEARCH
Research funded by European, national and regional programmes — what we were asked to solve, who we solved it with, and what came out of it.
Funded research is where a company gets to work on the problem before there is a customer for the answer. A programme pays for the risk, a consortium supplies what no single partner has, and the results are reviewed by people with no stake in flattering them.
We take part at three levels: European programmes alongside industrial and research partners across the continent, national calls, and regional programmes such as the PR FESR, where we have also acted as coordinator rather than only as a partner.
Two of the projects below are aerospace work that pushed materials and aerothermodynamics past where any of the partners had taken them before. The third rethought marine propulsion from the hull outwards.
We take part in European, national and regional calls, as coordinator or as the partner who does the physics. If you are building a consortium and need that role filled, say so early — the proposal is where it is decided.
